Dear little mammal,
Remember that you are indeed just a
little mammal
Sometimes you forget that and then you remember again
Sometimes you do things that don’t feel right, that don’t feel natural for a
little mammal
And then you feel tired wondering what went wrong
Well, everything went exactly right
Your body sent you all the right signals for you to go hide in your den
Your body also told you when it was time to go out and breathe fresh air again
And spend quiet time with your natural friends
And it felt good
It felt so simply good
It wasn’t such a hard nut to crack after all
It never is
If only you listened more carefully
You’d always remember to come home.
The others are little mammals too, love
They have their own needs, which will be different from yours
Indeed
You can’t force them to be the way you’d want them to be
You just have to let them be free
‘Cause they’re little mammals too.
Sometimes their way of being may hurt you
No doubt your way of being may hurt them too.
Silly mammals
How easily we forget
We forget and we remember again
We are not but for them too.
