Some days, rainbow lorikeets are grey
The clouds cannot see them for their colours
Only loud shapes moving
So many of them have come before
None of their songs are new
Day after day chirping
Anxiety creeps in for all the inefficiencies
For all the missed connections
That could have saved time and lives
In all their uncontrollable chaos
Brightness and confusion
Birds, they be birding
Back in the kindness of the present moment, you remember
Sit on a branch, shine your light and invite
Lorikeets to come together and show their rainbow
