A Writer’s Dilemma

New Book now available!

Exciting news!!!

I wrote a book, A Writer’s Dilemma, about the inner dialogues of a climate human’s mind – which I am now super proud to be releasing into the world. I had this messy knot in my mind stopping me from writing, because mostly a voice is my head was shouting ‘what’s the point of writing a book when there is a climate emergency?’. Until one day I decided to just do it, by diving right into the centre of the mental knots which were preventing me from doing what I longed for: writing. It turns out the process of writing was profoundly liberating and am happy to announce that the book is now published and ready to be shared with fellow climate humans!

What is the book about?

A Writer’s Dilemma is a colourful invitation into the intimate dialogues of a climate human, Joy Bark, about why she should not be writing. Fresh, spicy and warm, this nine-course meal will fill you with a sense of connection, a taste of what goes on in someone else’s mind and leave you hungry for more!

Every course (or chapter) offers an original glimpse into the mental knots and inner critics stopping Joy Bark from writing, revealing more parts of herself at the table and nourishing her own appetite for writing as she progressively fills the Pros and Cons buckets for writing this book.

Battling matters of worthiness in a time of climate emergency, this self-reflective essay brings to light the irony, joy and depth that exist in the process of letting ourselves become who we are.

Want to read it?

I am new to this publishing books ecosystem, so I will be trialing two ways to get the book out. For now, you can:

And very soon, the book will also be available on commercial distribution platforms and when that’s the case, I will pop in the relevant links here too.
