The miracle that life is
Something sitting on the edge of the appreciation of life and grief of its loss
A very fine line that only a funambulist could master the balance of
Without falling on either side, of hope or gloom
The balancing act might be the work that keeps us alive
The dance between light and darkness
Breathing in, breathing out
One step after another, on a very tight rope
That is a miracle of grace in itself
Something to aspire to, one day after another
Learning there can be joy in falling
And starting again
In and out
It’s raining outside
Warm and sunny inside
Though a storm is coming
Breathe in and out
Laughter ships a few pages ahead
Hopping to where joy lives
Fear moves in freezing movement
Breathe in and out
Sneezing contracts and releases
Panic swirls in and whips cream
Where cinnamon rolls are sweet
Breathe in and out
Time to go although unclear where
Laying down a path in walking
Breath by breath
In and out
Beautiful
Turquoise sparkle in your eye
Light twinkle in your leaves
Quiet morning sounds
Birds chirping in the wind
The smell of burnt toast
And its delicious envelope
Wrapping you in the present
Warmth of a moment
Clarity
I can see clearly now
The hot air flowing on wood
The music floating in my ears
Drumming, bit by bit
I can see clearly now
When it disappears
When the cloud casts a shadow over
Everything, bit by bit
I can hear clearly now
The music of my soul
Whispering gently in my ears:
Clarity has no words
